Join us for a powerful public art activation celebrating Carl Pao’s mural, a striking fusion of ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i and visual storytelling. This dynamic piece brings to life Ke Kānāwai Māmalahoe (The Law of the Splintered Paddle), King Kamehameha I’s enduring decree of protection, compassion, and justice. Through a coded alphabet, Pao’s mural invites the community to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their kuleana (responsibility) to land and one another. Experience an evening of art, storytelling, and cultural exchange as we explore the mural’s deeper meaning and its call for aloha and equity in today’s world.

This event is free and open to the public
